Fresh Powder in Chamonix..

Chris Walker and I have been in Chamonix for the last few days making the most of the recent early season snow. Yesterday was particularly good on the Grands Montets with a good depth of powder and better visibility than the preceeding days.

We were joined by Neil Johnson and Vic Chelton who were keen to show off their skills now being Chamonix residents. The weather forecast looks good for the Christmas week here in the alps..

Climbing Wall Award Training (CWA)

This weekend I have been delivering the new Climbing Wall Award (CWA) Training Course along with Paul Knowles.

On Saturday we visited Rockcity Climbing Centre in Hull, looking at the personal climbing and coaching elements of the syllabus as well as covering the Abseiling Module in the evening.

Sunday, saw us at the Foundry in Sheffield to explore the essential skills of group management and peer to peer belaying along with many others.

Hopefully, I will be seeing Sam, Kris, Mikey, Ruth, Tracey, Deb, Nikki and Julie for assessment at some time in the future...
