It's been a busy week with some mixed weather in the Peak District and North Wales. Monday and Tuesdays conditions resulted in a good start to a Mountain Leader Assessment course in the Carneddau area of Snowdonia, with relatively mild temperatures for October.

Wednesday saw us out and about on Kinder Scout in heavy showers and strong winds. The view over to the Eastern Edges was clear though, suggesting that the hardy may have been out on the grit.

The forecast for the weekend suggests that the weather is likely to be best on Sunday with colder conditions coming in early next week.
